Description

Easy-to-make buttery soft pretzel bites perfect for snacks or parties.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Coarse salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Mix water, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour and melted butter. Knead until dough is smooth.
  3. Cover with a towel and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Divide dough into small balls. Boil water and baking soda in a pot.
  6. Boil dough balls for 30 seconds, then transfer to the baking sheet.
  7. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle coarse salt.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
