Final Thoughts
This tenth loaf changed the way I think about sourdough technique.
I had assumed that more folding, more handling, and more attention would automatically create better bread. Instead, my best loaf came from stepping back.
The dough was mixed thoroughly, covered, and given enough time to develop. One gentle lamination and careful shaping prepared it for the refrigerator, while a hot Dutch oven produced the strong rise and deeply browned crust.
This method may not replace every sourdough technique, and it will still require adjustments for different starters, flour, and kitchen temperatures. But it proves that good bread does not always need a complicated schedule.
Sometimes doing less gives the dough the space it needs to become something better.
